Jaclyn and Eric met through their mutual friend Nancy in 2018. While Jaclyn was living downtown in Des Moines, they enjoyed hanging out together with friends almost every weekend. They spent their mornings at the Farmer’s Market and evenings trying new restaurants or bar hopping. They also spent time together going on trips to concerts in Chicago and Colorado.

In July of 2018 Eric and Aspyn brought Jaclyn flowers and balloons to make it “official”. In 2019 they bought a townhome and moved in together. In July of that year, their beloved dog child Monty was born.

In 2020 Eric proposed to Jaclyn at the Drift Creek Waterfall while they were vacationing in Oregon. Jaclyn said YES! and the two enjoyed the rest of their vacation as a newly engaged couple.

The pandemic provided lots of quality time for Eric, Jaclyn, Aspyn, and Monty to become a family. In 2021 the couple sold their townhome and experienced the fun and thrills of purchasing a house.

This year wedding planning is in full swing and they are looking forward to the big day surrounded by their loved ones on April 22, 2023!
