After a short time chatting on the dating app, Tinder, we decided to meet for a date. We had plans to have a casual Friday date out at Resurgence Brewing (hence the location of our Happily Ever After Party!), but the day of, Jackie realized there was a work/fundraising event she should attend for the Ride for Roswell. She promised she'd be home and ready by 8pm... she was not. She asked to postpone the date by another hour and rushed home to get ready. The Ride for Roswell was early the next morning and, when Jackie got home to get ready, her roommate noticed that Jackie's bike that she would need for The Ride the next morning had been stolen. Pete was already on the way and she really didn't want to cancel, so when he arrived, she told him the story and apologized in advanced for needing to be on her phone to find a bike for the next morning. Needless to say, we had a great time at Resurgence and finished it with a night cap and a little dancing at Hartman's. The date went so well that Pete graciously offered to let Jackie borrow his bike for the next morning. They exchanged the bike that night and went their separate ways for the evening. The next day, Jackie decided to ride 30 miles on Pete's bike instead of the 10 miles she initially intended. By mile 25 or so, she noticed that she was getting really tired and everything felt so much harder; "I probably should've just stuck to the 10 miles. I didn't realize I was so out of shape", she thought. As she gets to the finish line and dismounts the bike, to her horror, she realizes that one of Pete's bike tires had popped and she may have also bent the rim... "This guy is never going to talk to me again...", she said to herself. She texted him an apology and hoped for the best. He'd have to at least see her once more to get his (now broken) bike back. Fortunately, Pete never made a fuss about the broken bike and he quickly learned that this is just one of the many snafu's that Jackie somehow finds herself in from time to time. 3.5 years of other silly snafu's, Jackie still running late and many adventures together later, Pete planned a romantic weekend to the Adirondacks with just us and our sweet pup, Remy. On January 25, 2025, we climbed Silver Lake Mountain on the most perfect winter day. He popped the question at the peak with a breathtaking backdrop. She, of course, happily accepted. We are so excited to continue our story as we elope in another set of breathtaking views in the Dolomites. Although we wish we could bring you all with us, we couldn't celebrate "our story" without all of you in some way. Each and every one of you has been a part of our story with the love and support you've given us over the years. If you've made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for always loving us. This is one of the more upscale hotels of Buffalo. There is a beautiful Urban Hot Springs that we really enjoyed during our staycation there. Only 20 min from downtown, go enjoy The Falls! Even if you've done it before, The Maid of the Mist never gets old! If you go to the Canadian side, don't forget your passport or enhanced license!

Niagara Falls State Park

Enjoy a beautiful stroll in Canalside park along Lake Erie, including the Buffalo Naval Park! Rent a kayak or water bike. Or book a ride on the Moondance Cat catamaran!

Another beautiful waterfront park. Parking near Wilkenson Point is one of my favorite areas. There's a small beach, volleyball courts and usually a food truck for drinks and snacks

A multi-level indoor/outdoor restaurant along the canal with arcade games, outdoor Ferris wheel, and more!

The Elmwood Village is a cute place to stroll the shops and grab a bite to eat. Stop at Waston's Chocolate to try Sponge Candy, a Buffalo classic!

If you want to spend part of your weekend like Jackie, to a hot &amp; sweaty Power Yoga class at PYB! Bring a mat a towel and lots of water because it's heated! Be sure to sign up ahead of time.

Enjoy a nice stroll or play a quick game of 9-18 holes of golf at Delaware Park! Also nearby are AKG art museum and the Buffalo Zoo which are both a perfect way to spend a few hours. The polar bears are super cute and usually very active!

Enjoy the cute village of EA lined with shops and restaurants. Grab a drink next door at Aurora Brew Works (a favorite of ours as well) and take a stroll because it's open container in the village!
