The discounted rate will apply from Thursday 2/20-through Saturday 2/22 and must be booked no later than 1/5/2025. Transportation will be provided round trip from the hotel to the venue. Rockville Center has many shops and restaurants within a short walking distance and cabs and ubers are easily accessible. An additional area hotel for anyone wishing to stay in Long Beach on the Boardwalk. We were not able to negotiate a special rate, however it is off season so prices will be lower than during peak season.
All of the area amenities of Long Beach are within walking distance (restaurants, shops, train station, etc). Ubers and cabs are easily accessible.
JFK International Airport is the closest and most convenient airport with options for public transportation between the airport and the hotel (AirTrain to Long Island Railroad with destinations of Rockville Center or Long Beach). Cabs and Ubers/Lyfts are easily accessible (Uber/Lyft are recommended over yellow cabs).
LaGuardia Airport is also an option, however it is farther away and public transportation to and from this airport is limited and inconsistent. Cab and Ubers/Lyfts would be recommended.
How do I use public transportation to get from the airport to the hotel?
JFK International Airport has an inter-airport train system called the AirTrain. You can take this train to Jamaica Station (there will be a fee when you get off the AirTrain and you can pay by purchasing a Metro Card at the station exit). From Jamaica Station, you can transfer to the Long Island Railroad to either Rockville Center (if you are staying at the Hampton Inn in Rockville Center) and/or Long Beach (if you choose to stay at the Allegria. If you choose to stay at an Air B&B in a different town, check the LIRR website to see if it is accessible from the train.
Are AirB&Bs available in the area instead of a hotel?
Yes! Long Island has many options for AirB&Bs. If searching for an A&B and want to be local to the wedding the following towns are considered "close by" - Long Beach, Island Park, Oceanside, Rockville Center, Lynbrook, East Rockaway, Atlantic Beach, Lido Beach, Point Lookout. Ubers/Lyfts are easily accessible in each of these towns.
