New River Trail State Park - Galax Access
New River Trail is a 57-mile linear park that follows an abandoned railroad right-of-way. The park parallels the scenic and historic New River for 39 miles and passes through four counties and the city of Galax. The trail's gentle slope makes it great for visitors of all ages to hike & bike. It is one of Jac & Jake's favorite places to go for a walk or run!
The Blue Ridge Music Center
The Blue Ridge Music Center is equal parts music venue and museum. Check out their music schedule and be sure to go listen to some mountain music!
Creek Bottom Brewing Company Tasting Room & Pub
Creek Bottom Brewery is a local favorite watering hole. They have a good selection of beer and a pretty big menu. They have tons of live music. It's a very casual, fun environment. Jaclyn & Jake highly recommend the pizza!

Briar Patch Marketplace & Cafe is a great place for breakfast, coffee, lunch, AND a little shopping. Located in Downtown Galax, they have great breakfast food (Jake is partial to their biscuits & gravy) and the cutest assortment of trinkets, gifts, home decor, souvenirs, you name it! While you are there, be sure to check out the other shops in DT Galax!
