I never expected to meet my future husband at the SAT, but I will admit that I've never been more grateful for a test. Spencer and I briefly crossed paths at the SAT test in high school, and later that day, he reached out to a mutual friend in hopes of connecting. After a little back-and-forth, he didn't get the impression that I was interested, so it wasn't until later that Fall that he officially asked me out. After our first date, I wasn't expecting him to ask me out again. I thought that I had ruined it by playing "slug bug" in the car, but when he asked me to hangout again the very next day, my only solution was to tell him that I couldn't because I was going to Lamps Plus with my family. I thought that I was playing hard to get, but he'll never let me forget that I stood him up for Lamps Plus. We started dating in November of 2017, just 9 months before we would leave for separate colleges that were 900 miles apart. Before we left for school, I thought that Spencer would breakup with me because I couldn't imagine that any 18-year-old guy would want to do long-distance in college. However, he gave me a glimpse into his character and heart for me when he told me that he wanted to stay together. Long distance taught us how to communicate and made the time together that much sweeter. Spencer will agree that he is a Horned Frog at heart. And now, we're excited to start the next chapter of our story! We've grown together, dreamed together, navigated the ups and downs, and have began to build our life together. Thank you for celebrating with us as we become Husband and Wife!
