Jacob and Lacey met when they were 13. Danielle (maid of honor) was in choir with Jake, and Lacey tagged along during their Providence Bruins performance. She saw Jake on the bus and thought he was the cutest emo kid on the planet.
She immediately asked Danielle the details of this angsty teenage Jake and she made the arrangements on Myspace. Their first date was at Flagship Cinemas (R.I.P) and they fell in love so quick and hard. Jacob's parents were planning to move to Florida and though Jake and Lacey were devastated they tried to make it work.

As any long distance relationship goes when teenagers are involved they were unsuccessful. But they still remained friends.

After 4 years of visits to MA and always making a point to see each other. They knew they were still in love. Finally, his parents decided it was time to move back home.

As soon as the decision was made Jake called Lacey and told her the wonderful news. She jumped on a plane and flew down to help him move. They have been in crazy mad love ever since. They moved in together and adopted the most amazing dog named Goku who they love so much! They also love playing frisbee and play in a few leagues together.

Seven years later he decided to send her on a crazy scavenger hunt around the city of New Bedford. He made her go to the place where they met, the place where they had their first date, their first apartment together, and finally their home now. There were flowers everywhere, and he was on one knee. Lacey screeched like a little girl and didn't even let him get the sentence out.
Now, they are planning to spend the rest of their days together, never to be separated again. A true Happily Ever After.
