Jacob and I first crossed paths in January 2019 who both happened to swipe right on bumble. Lol After some messages exchanged between one another, numbers were exchanged and a first date was set up shortly after. Finding a day was a little tricky sine I was working 12-hour night shifts as a nurse and Jacob working 24 hours every third day as a firefighter, but we found the perfect Saturday night. Jacob came to my apartment to pick me up. One of our stops that night was at Howl at the Moon where we danced to what will be our first song we dance to as a married couple. The rest is history!
After getting to know each other better, we started to meet each other's friends to create memories with. Both of us love to be outdoors, travel, and try new things. As feelings progressed, we slowly started to live with each other. With COVID bombarding the world a little after a year from first meeting, adventures became more difficult. We decided to keep on with life and rescue our first dog, Whiskey! We bought their first house in 2021 and decided to get Whiskey a brother. (And raise another puppy..) All we know is a busy life. (We don’t know any different!)
The proposal was a dream for me at my favorite place! We went to Chicago for a Cubs game with a group of friends. It was a cold, rainy day in May in the rooftop seats. (I was secretly Fan-Girling over Kris Bryant!) Throughout the game we did not want to brave the cold any longer, so the group moved to one of the indoor suites. The game went on and at the 7th inning someone came up with the idea to take couples photos. When it was our turn, they took our picture and Jacob got down on one knee. I said yes, Cubbies won the game and we were singing Go Cubs Go the rest of the night!
We are very excited to see you all in September and celebrate with all of the people we love!
