As the story goes, two young men walked in to a bar not knowing that a personal connection and a brief introduction would change things forever.

We met while Jake was living in Greenville, SC, after going on an after work run through Walter's hometown Greer with one of his good friends we were introduced to each other at a well known local establishment, Wild Ace.

Weeks went by, a handful of texts and a few more encounters we finally let destiny take its turn and settled on a date. We were having great fun, until Jake flew out to a job interview in Louisville, KY. Thinking this would end the short relationship, Walt had the courage to say "Well I'm coming with you" and the rest is history.

A year and a couple months in Louisville and then a move to Nashville, TN there is nothing in our way that can stop us!

Summer of 2023, we flew to Savannah/Hilton Head for our yearly vacation with Jakes side of the family.

On the brief drive from the Savannah airport to Hilton Head, we made jokes and Jake even pointed out that out of all places we have traveled together, Hilton Head had been visited the most between family vacations and a wedding of a dear friend. Jake remembers looking over at this moment and all Walter did was laugh.

Fast forward a handful of days, and we were to take group beach pictures on a rainy evening. As the rain subsided, Walter couldn't wait any longer and popped the question right in front of our rental home. Shortly after, mother nature drew up a perfect double rainbow as if it had been planned the entire time.
