Jacob and I met on Hinge and owe this love to the programmers of the app as well as Maria Sparacino. She not only insisted on making my Hinge account, but swiped on Jacob for me. We met at the Gingerbread house where we returned to take our engagement photos.

On what felt like date 3, but Jacob insists was date 5, he asked me to attend a wedding as his plus one. His co-workers insisted it was too early but Jacob didn't care and asked me anyway.

Jacob officially asked me to be his girlfriend while playing cribbage at Dr. Schroeder's house. Winston joined us in a celebratory kiss effectively ruining the mood and allowing me to win the game of cribbage.

Valentines day brought about our special tradition of going to a dive bar, picking a weekend to get away, and planning a vacation where we can do what we love including hiking, kayaking, wineries, and enjoying good food.

Jacob decided to not only buy a ring, but to design it all on his own. He made it everything I had hoped for and used his grandmother's diamonds in the band.

The third time's the charm and Jacob officially proposed on Lake Mendota. He was the most authentic version of himself stating "I'm only buying one of these. You're my best friend. I'll love you forever. Will you marry me?" To which I obviously said, "yes".

Since then we have continued to conquer Jacob's fear of heights, my surgery residency stressors, and wedding planning which has been remarkably enjoyable!

We cannot wait to GET MARRIED in the presence of all our friends and family!
