I would like to think that the way I met Jacob was particularly interesting. Though it may not have been the most romantic of settings - I was browsing through resumes, after all - but there was something about the thoughtfulness of his answers that caught my attention. So, I did what any modern person would do - I looked him up on Instagram - and I was pleasantly surprised by how cute he was.


But it wasnt until I met Jacob in person that I knew there was something truly special about him. As he spoke with my mom during his interview, I couldnt help but be captivated by the kindness and gentleness in his words. After he left, my mom looked at me and said, “He is so cute, someone has to date him.” Safe to say, he got the job.


As we started spending more and more time together as colleagues and friends, I found myself drawn to Jacob’s infectious smile, his love for music, sports, and our shared faith. Once we started dating, I was absolutely smitten. We spent entirely too much time together and always wished that it was more. Jacob is kind, funny, and authentic in a way that is rare and beautiful. With each passing milestone, I found myself falling deeper and deeper in love, hoping that this incredible journey would last forever. And now, as I stand here with Jacob by my side, ready to embark on the greatest adventure of all, I know in my heart that he is the one for me. I am so grateful to have him, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together.

When I finally mustered the courage to ask her out, I was thrilled when she said yes - and my love for her only continued to grow.
