Gone are the days of courting, sharing fries and a milkshake at the drive in, and promising dad she’ll be home by 10 pm. Jacob and Katelyn met the modern way, good ole Tinder. We all know that Tinder is not a great dating app, but Katelyn was not on the app to date; she was on the app to creep. Little did she know that while she was on the app, she would meet the love of her life. (Cue Jacob Holetzky). Jacob liked Katelyn from the start, but it was not reciprocated. They started out as friends and even went on a few “friend” dates, but Jacob did not make any gains until he played a trick on Katelyn. He told her that he had another girl in his car (there was no one in his car) to see how she would react…… to say the least she was annoyed, but he finally got the answer he needed to make a move. Ever since then, they have been together through the ups and downs of their relationship, including long distance. As many know, absence makes the heart grow fonder and in their relationship it did. Every couple of months, they would fly to either Illinois or Virginia to see each other. The time they spent apart made them realize that they could not live without each other. Jacob proposed on October 15th, 2023 during the peak of fall foliage during a trip to Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park.
