The Hyde family story originates in Rochester, NY. Sandee and Gary Hyde, parents of the groom uprooted their family and moved to Walnut Creek, California where they raised three boys, Jacob, David, and Zachary Hyde. While the family stayed in California, Jacob left the nest and moved to South Carolina to achieve his Bachelors degree in Political Science at Coastal Carolina University and graduated in 2013.

The Shultz family originates in Chester, Virginia where parents of the bride, Mette and Jeff Shultz raised two girls, Laura and Jennifer Shultz. Jennifer spread her wings and moved to Florida at 18, traveling back and forth from Myrtle Beach, SC to Tampa, Florida.

The two love birds lived totally separate lives for many years. They knew each other through mutual friends and never got the chance to hangout. Only knowing each other's first names and some small talk, the connection budded as a friendship.

In the summer of 2018, Jacob approached Jennifer at an event in Myrtle Beach to ask her on a date, but what she didn't realize that this would be the beginning of many nights out and Mexican restaurant dates. Jacob lived in a one bedroom one bathroom apartment while Jenn still resided in Florida and made special six hour trips to Myrtle Beach to see him again.

It was just over a year later that Jacob asked Jenn to move in with him after she graduated from Southern New Hampshire University for her Accounting and Finance degree in December 2019.

From that moment on the two have been inseparable. From trips to California to trips to Virginia, Arkansas and all the way to Guam. They even survived the covid shut down in a confined 900sq ft apartment. They have enjoyed traveling and mini vacations,
