How It Started ...

In Her Eyes&nbsp;One Monday morning in July, I was sitting in class when I noticed a DM on Instagram from Jacob asking if I could join him on a set for a worship night that Wednesday. I was so surprised and excited because I knew how talented of a musician Jacob was. After praying about it, I agreed and am so glad I did. That night was unique, and God surely had a plan for it. It wasn't long before I realized Jacob led the team and carried himself differently than anyone I had met before. He had such an eye for detail and intentionally sought the needs of each team member. He was on top of everything you could think of, from getting everyone tea or water to ensuring everyone was comfortable with their parts and roles and had the gear they needed. He was diligent about taking time to encourage each of us. Another thing I noticed about Jacob that night was how he did things with excellence but always prioritized prayer and sought the Lord's heart over any of the technicalities.Jacob and I became friends that day, and coincidentally (or not), after that worship service, there were another 3 to 4 sets that we were both on in the following months, keeping us connected. From there, our friendship grew as we bonded over music, coffee, puns, other silly jokes, and memes.&nbsp;Jacob not only appreciated my awkward sense of humor but also began to join in and make jokes he knew only I would really laugh at.Jacob often hinted at starting a music project together early in our friendship, and without thinking much of it, I went along with it. He kept challenging me to press in and dig deep creatively, and in February 2020, we released a cover.Around the time we were finishing up the project, Jacob and I took a spontaneous road trip to&nbsp;a coffee shop in Denison that I had mentioned wanting to visit. During that car ride and our visit, we talked more about our life experiences, interests, passions, and dreams while making more inside jokes along the way.&nbsp;A few months later, on March 23, 2020, Jacob and I took a new step as we expressed our intentions, and our friendship became a relationship.&nbsp;We have shared so many precious memories in the last few years as we've gotten to know each other; some of my favorites include going to King's Kaleidoscope concerts, making fried chicken tacos, playing basketball, annual B&amp;B dates, and all the picnics. Jacob is the bold, loving, goofy, and God-fearing man I have always dreamed and prayed about. He is an amazing friend, teammate, and partner. I am so excited to continue our journey together as we enter into this new chapter of life.With love, Sammy 🤎

In His EyesI knew a little bit about Samantha having grown up in the Indian community. I had seen her at random city meetings here and there, but never really got the chance to talk to her. One of my earliest memories of Samantha was in 2015 hearing her sing for PYCD group song. She will absolutely hate that I dare to bring that up on our wedding website, but it would become very useful information many years later...In July 2019, I was involved with a Wednesday night ministry and was trying to organize a team to lead worship for the upcoming week. I honestly couldn't tell you how or why, but God dropped Samantha's name into my head, and I'm so glad He did. I DM'd her that Sunday night and she got back to me the next day saying she was willing to come! I remember that being one of my favorite times of worship to this day :) Afterwards, I remember talking to her outside about stewardship, and how we have a great privilege to be able to use our gifts for God. This would be the first of many great kingdom conversations to come!The rest of that summer, we would just happen to be around each other for various church services, so we got to talk quite a bit. We even started recording a cover together! Samantha doesn't believe this next part actually happened, but a few months later, my hard drive that had our cover on it got corrupted, so I had to ask her to meet up a few more times and re-record some of the parts that we lost. Looking back on it, I can see why she has her doubts to this day. But hey, I'm not complaining about getting to see her a few extra times- even if it cost me a hard drive.In January 2020 we had our first non-official date when we took a 1-hour road trip to Denison, TX just to go try out a coffee shop she saw on Instagram. We ended up loving the shop so much that we took a couple of classes there over the next couple of months. In March 2020, I finally felt like I had peace to ask her out, but just a few days later, the entire country entered quarantine (dun dun dunnn).We had to do the majority of the early phases of our relationship over FaceTime, and could only meet up every once in a while, but we tried to make the most of it whenever we got the chance. It was honestly a blessing in disguise as it forced us to be super intentional with our dates, and often we would just spend the whole day together. From there, our relationship has continued to grow over our love of coffee, street tacos, music, laughter, and the never-ending pursuit of trying to catch her up on Marvel content. Best of all, we have grown together and believe that the Lord is calling us to take another step of faith in our relationship. Samantha is gentle, loving, hardworking, and the funniest person I know. I am so blessed to spend the rest of my life with my best friend :)With love, Yacob 🤎

The Proposal

After receiving their parents' blessing, Jacob and Samantha decided to walk toward the engagement season. Jacob proposed to Samantha on July 14th, 2023, at the Rocky Mountains National Park in Estes Park, Colorado, overlooking the beautiful Sprague Lake.

Our ceremony and reception will be indoors, but cocktail hour will be outdoors from 5pm-6pm. There is an indoor corridor area that will be available for use during cocktail hour as well.

Yes, we would love for you to take pictures /videos during the wedding! However, we kindly ask that you DO NOT take pictures/videos as the bridal party is walking down the aisle.

Celebrating with you is more than enough of a gift to us, but we do have a gift registry if you want to bless us even more. We kindly request NO BOXED GIFTS.
