We met our Senior Year of high school in 2018. We had a class together. Jacob sat two rows behind Kabree. Jacob would walk in late everyday. So of course, everyone looked back almost everyday for a few weeks, and there was Jacob late to class again catching eyes with Kabree. If you know Kabree you know she's a jokester, she would make some mediocre joke and Jake would be laughing so hard. We kept catching each others eyes.

A school dance was coming up and Kabree wanted to have a lot of fun at the dance. She wanted someone with tons of energy and someone she would have a fun time with. After some figuring out of what Jakes last name was from a friend and some decision making with her friend, she decided to ask Jacob Maddox to senior year Sadies.

We had a great time and partied until the end of the night was near. We found ourselves in a Photo Booth, we were the last ones that night. Something kind of silly is that the signs in the booth were a little more serious than a first date sign. Some such as "future wifey" and" I said yes", but its crazy that it didn't seem wrong at the time. It was the moment we knew that something was different.

We spent almost every day together after that, lunch dates, and hanging out at each others houses, longboard rides at sunset, senior graduation. Jake received a mission call to the Mexico, Mexico City Chalco mission and was leaving in July.

We spent every second together up until then and said a painful, "see you in 2 years"

Our relationship grew over the two years. We were still getting to know each other and our care grew for each other every day. We learned that love doesn't stop when you aren't physically with each other. There was a brief break in Jakes mission due to covid, so we saw each other in between for a short time. We spent every second together until we had to say, "see you in 1".

Jake spent the next 7 months serving in the North Carolina Raleigh Mission and finishing in his original mission in Mexico. When Jake came home in July, we were both so excited and nervous about what would happen next with us. To see if all the waiting had paid off.

Jake proposed on January 1st 2022 at the Salt Flats in Utah.

He surprised me with a romantic and exciting proposal. We got in the car and started driving out in the middle of nowhere. Kabree guessed where the destination was but to her surprise there was a photoshoot. With the photoshoot there was a proposal. One that they had waited over three years for. A, " we really ended up together moment".

We are so excited to get married on May 6th continue writing our story! We are also so excited to be surrounded by friends and family who love us. Thank you for the constant support in our lives!
