Our Wedding

September 2021: We met at "summer house" in Northeast Minneapolis, when Jacob moved into the unit below Brooke's in a top-bottom duplex. A chance encounter that would set up a lifetime of happiness &lt;3 Pictured is our first photo together, burning the Christmas tree in the backyard on Brooke's 22nd birthday.

2022: Our first summer together! We ran a half marathon, visited Green Lake, played softball, and took a trip with friends to Glacier National Park. All while navigating new relationship jitters and Jacob's fear of dinner dates.

October 2022: We look in love but Jacob hadn't said it back yet...all Brooke had gotten in response so far was a panicked "AHH!"

January 2023: Our first anniversary and first solo trip together to Grand Marais. We learned our risk tolerance and how we work together through challenges as we faced negative temperatures, losing our way with no reception, and a failing car battery. (P.S. Jacob did tell Brooke he loves her by this point)

June 2023: The adventures continued as we integrated things we love into each others' lives. Crowning achievement was Brooke's first marathon where she didn't miss a single day in her Training Plan (then drove 2.5 hrs back to the cities for two weddings and bar close - 60,000+ steps by bed time)

1.25.2025The big question. What was cheekily planned as a surprise trip to Grand Marais soon turned to an improvised stay in Duluth thanks to a night-time blizzard, car problems, and a panicked call to Brooke's sister and now husband from a roadside Subway bathroom. The day after our 3rd anniversary we took a hike up to a local point overlooking Duluth/Superior and proposed a life spent together. Of course, the answer is yes and we can't wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people &lt;3
