We met on Hinge! After texting for a couple of months, our first date was in December 2020.

It was during the pandemic, so we sat outside in New York City in freezing cold temperatures.

Jacob almost cancelled at the last minute, because Roy didn't confirm on the day of (and also....Jacob was terrified).

In retrospect, none of this is surprising.

We probably looked like a couple of fools sitting outside in the snow while everyone else was inside.

Despite the weather, we talked forever about everything we had in common. Then, Roy's feet nearly froze on his walk back home.

And just like that, it was the beginning of the rest of our lives ♥️
