The morning of November 11th 2023, Jake suggested a walk on the beach of Fort Lauderdale where we were vacationing. In my typical fashion, we get down to the beach and I take my sweet time walking and goofing off. About 2 minutes into the beach walk, Jake suggested we take a photo as we have not taken any good photos together in a while. As I was getting ready for a selfie, Jake gets an older couples attention and hands them his phone to take a photo. It was that moment he got down on one knee in the waves that he asked me to marry him, or at least presented the ring, we are not sure if any words were actually said. The thing I immediately thought about was, holy sh*t, Jake is trusting these old people to take a once in a lifetime photo... and Jake was certainly right to trust them because they turned out perfect.


The pure joy of getting engaged topped with an amazing proposal by Jake was all a girl could ever ask for. We then proceeded to Facetime our closest friends and family, went swimming in the ocean, and drank lots of Miami Vices (Olivia) & beer (Jake).
