Who would have thought that one warm summer day in 2012 all it would take to spark a love story that’s destined to last a lifetime would be a beautiful young woman walking into an English class in Reitz Highschool? A young man in his junior year of high school looking up at just the right time as a young woman steps through the doorway and immediately feels that “special something” about her…that draw, that voice in the back of his head saying “Pay attention! This isn’t a coincidence. She’s something special”. Call it fate, call it intuition, call it God’s Will, whatever the case may be thus started Jacob and Rachel’s love story that will continue for a lifetime and beyond.

After six years of waiting, “non” date- dates, night drives, fireworks on the hill, and surprise camping visits these two friends-turned soulmates finally began their journey for the rest of their lives. Four years later full of very great highs and some of the lowest lows the two have ever experienced, in negative 2-degree weather and up to our ankles in the snow she said yes bringing us to why we’re all celebrating now.

Rachel, born 28th of November 1995 to Nick and Jane Coleman has two sisters: Jessica and Amanda. Rachel attended Cynthia Heights Elementary School, Helfrich Park Middle School, F.J. Reitz Highschool, and finally the University of Southern Indiana where she graduated with honors receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance. She now enjoys working for Traylor Bros., Inc. as their Treasury Staff Accountant. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, Camping, the outdoors, and going on night drives with her best friend and fiancé.

Jacob, born 25th of April 1996 to Donald and Daphne Owen has one sister: Clara. Jacob attended West Terrace Elementary School, Perry Heights Middle School, F.J. Reitz Highschool, and the University of Evansville. Jacob works in the IT department at Traylor Bros. Inc., as well as an IT consultant for Weekday Christian Education. In his spare time, Jacob also enjoys spending time with friends and family, all things aviation and flying, camping, the outdoors, recreational target shooting, and also going on night drives with his best friend and fiancé.
