They went to high school together but did not share any classes. In their senior year of college, they reconnected through roommates & friends and began dating.

On Rachel’s birthday (May 22, 2024) Jacob tried to tie a very special gift bag to their dog, Sadie’s, collar but it fell off and she played keep away. There was a sticky note in the bag (Grey’s Anatomy style, soon to be framed), with the special question and she turned around and he was on one knee. Obviously she said yes, because here we are!
