Our story began while working at the same accounting firm. At first, we were just co-workers and friends working long hours of tax season. Over time we became part of the same friend group and started hanging out at game nights. It wasn’t until the pandemic hit that we really connected. With both of us living alone and isolated, we started talking more and more, and one day decided to hang out for a Mario Kart battle and of course Navi lost.

From there, our friendship blossomed into something more. As we spent more time together, things just felt right, and soon everything flowed naturally, and before we knew it, we were living together and buying our first home.

In October 2024 Jacob decided to give the relationship a new title, fiance's! On a colourful autumn day we were out on a hike at Skinners Bluff. For a few years we have been exploring all the Sydenham side trails connected to the Bruce Trail in the surrounding area looking for the hidden codes on the trails from the book “Secrets of Sydenham” (we highly recommend if you like to hike). Next thing Navi knew she found the hidden code at Skinners Bluff and a sign underneath that said “Will you marry me?”. After some tears and a yes, here we are.

Now, we’re excited to start this next chapter of our lives as we say “I do.”
