Kristen and Jacob’s story began with some help from Kristen’s brother, Brandon. Brandon and Jacob studied engineering together at the University of South Alabama, and he (along with a little help) played matchmaker when Jacob took an interest in getting to know Kristen. Jacob made the first move and reached out, and from that moment on, everything just seemed to fall into place. What started as an introduction at a slow-pitch softball game and Waffle House quickly grew into a relationship and a sweet love story they’re still writing together.On November 23, 2026, during a family vacation to Gatlinburg, Jacob asked Kristen to spend forever with him. She said the easiest yes — and the rest is history.
