Jake and Megan met, by fate, when Jake started working at Genisys in 2017. Jake moved back to Michigan from Colorado and, by chance, got offered the job from Genisys while Megan was floating branch to branch. Megan had a HUGE crush on Jake from the minute she laid eyes on him, and was so painfully shy that Megan's opening conversation was mentioning that they drove the same exact car, year, make and model! Thank goodness for those 2017 Chrysler 200s!

Fun Fact: Jake's car was the color that Megan originally wanted, what are the odds?

Jake and Megan spent the next three years as just friends, going to dinner, attending every Marvel movie on opening night together, talking on the phone during every drive to and from work, texting from sun up to sun down, and listening to the new Taylor Swift albums the day they were released.

Fun Fact: The first Marvel movie they ever saw together was Spider-Man: Homecoming at AMC in Great Lakes Crossing!

In 2020, just as the COVID pandemic was starting, Jake and Megan (finally) realized they wanted to be more than just friends! They quickly became absolutely inseparable, spending every ounce of time together that they could, and they never looked back.

Who Said I Love You First?

Megan! On April 5, 2020 she put on the Up! movie, waited for the perfect opportunity, and was so nervous that she mumbled out "I love you". Jake said "What was that?" and Megan had to say I LOVE YOU, to which Jake responded, after some laughing, "I Love You Too!". This day is so special to them that they chose to get married on the 5 year anniversary of this date.

Fun Fact: They declared their love before they even officially started dating, which is on April 11, 2020.

By April 2021, Jake and Megan were ready to move in together and bought a house! After looking at hundreds of listings (This was basically Megan's second job), approximately 50 showings and 15 offers, their offer was accepted on their dream home in Troy, and they moved in, in September 2021.

At the beginning of November 2022, Taylor Swift announced her Era's Tour and Jake immediately knew he had to get tickets and would incorporate the proposal into this day somehow. He bought the ring (A gorgeous pear shaped Morganite) while Megan fought the Great Ticketmaster War of 2022 and somehow came out victorious! Megan made dozens of friendship bracelets and planned their outfits for months leading up to the concert.

On June 10, 2023 Jake gave Megan a present, and when she opened it, it was a Xbox Controller engraved with Megan M. Pulver, he got down on one knee and asked her if she would marry him. She was so surprised that her jaw literally dropped and she yelled "ARE YOU SERIOUS????" and immediately said yes. The easiest yes, ever <3

Jake and Megan got to spend the day showing off the ring to their friends and family and then the night celebrating their engagement, attending the most magical concert that will ever be.

Fun Fact: When Jake asked Megan's parents for their blessing to marry her, Danielle called Megan upset that she was across the street and didn't dare to come say hello, when in reality it was Jake in her car asking her parents for their blessing to marry her, and technically spoiled the surprise (although Megan didn't tell Jake this until after he mentioned that he had talked to her parents).
