Jacob and I had known of each other for a long time, but we officially got connected through a mutual friend August of 2019. He asked me on a date to Woods Coffee and we talked for 4 hours, it felt like we had known each other forever. Our second date was spent at the fair where we went to a Switchfoot concert. I thought the date went great but wasn’t sure if he was interested in going on a third date. A few days later he asked me if I wanted to go on a third date to mini golf. I was so excited for that date on a Friday night, but the day before I ended up getting into a terrible car accident resulting in a broken wrist and ankle...guess that meant no mini golf for me. I casually texted him in the ER “hey, so I don’t think I can join you for mini golf tomorrow night. I may or may not be in the ER right now.” Our next few dates ended up being the two of us talking and watching movies on the couch due to the fact that I could hardly walk for a few weeks. It was after those few movie dates that he officially asked me to be his girlfriend and pursue a long term relationship...and the rest is history!
