FaceTime calls characterized 7 of the first 8 months of our relationship. Sally spent the summer of '23 in China with her family, then was student teaching in Prague during the fall semester.

At long last, after 7 months of long-distance dating, Sally returned to the U.S. Jacob subsequently rejoiced for the next week.

Jacob flew over to Beijing to meet Sally's family and to stay where she grew up for a little over two weeks. He left pining away after (real) Chinese food.

Beijing (and the rest of China) has many beautiful parks that we took the pleasure of hiking through.

Thankfully, Jacob had the help of his best friend, Sally's best friend, and Sally's roommates to pull off an epic proposal. It took a team effort, and it payed off!

Visiting seminaries together to determine Jacob's next four years of education. After some deliberation, we settled on moving out to Escondido, California together!

Jacob's parents were eager to visit seminaries with us, and we had lots of fun with them!!! Here was a hike we took just hours before flying back to Chicago.
