Are ya'll ready for this love story! Okay here we go!

Let’s start with our initial thoughts of each other. Byron and I met at a close friend’s wedding in Phoenix, AZ. Byron says the first time he saw me was during the wedding rehearsal when I was walking down the aisle as the maid of honor. His first thought to himself was "I want her"(very romantic huh, LOL). The first time I saw Byron was right before the wedding rehearsal when the wedding party was standing around waiting for the rehearsal to start. Byron walks in with luggage in tow (because we all know he is never really on time) and yells something to the point of getting the party started. My first thought to myself was "black folks always late and still be ready to party" (LOL).

Now let’s skip to our initial interaction! At some point throughout the night at the wedding reception I walked past Byron, and he makes a comment to me checking to see if I was there with a +1 in which I replied "no (with a smile)". As the night went on, we talked here and there, took pictures in the photo booth, left the reception to run a quick errand (liquor run), once we got back to the reception and the night was coming to an end, I noticed Byron had not asked me for my number yet. So, me being the fearless and confident woman that I am (the folks that know me are probably laughing at that comment…LOL) I go over to Byron told him I was leaving because I was tired and gave him my number. He quickly took out his phone and put those digits in there because he knew he wanted to stay connected with this fearless, confident and enjoys a good nap every now-and-then, woman (LOL)!

I think most of you know what happened between then and October 8th, 2022, when Byron proposed so I will spare you those joyful, beautiful, and happy details :)
