Jeff and I met during the fall of 2019. We enjoyed getting to know each other through fun activities in Portland, OR. Here we are in our first picture together at a Timber's soccer game!

During this time, Jeff was finishing medical school and in the midst of interviewing for residency. Despite not knowing where he'd match, we both took a leap of faith to get to know each other. Here we are during our first trip together- Bend, OR for a wedding.

Shortly after, we enjoyed our first trip outside of Oregon- to Disneyland!

Right before the "shutdown", Jeff found out that he matched into residency at OHSU- meaning he would get to stay in Portland! Here we are celebrating at one of our favorite places- the Oregon Coast.

While the pandemic time was isolated, it allowed us to spend quality time together and build the strong foundation of our relationship. Later that spring, we celebrated Jeff's graduation from OHSU medical school!

During the next few years, we continued to support each other through our busy lives as Jeff took on ENT residency and Jacqui began a master's program while working in healthcare management. One of our favorite things to do together in our free time is travel, whether near or far. Here we are on one of our weekend trips up to Bellevue, WA to visit Jacqui's family.

We later took our first international trip together- Los Cabos, Mexico.

That spring, we enjoyed staying on a houseboat in Lake Shasta with Jeff's family.

We've also enjoyed adventuring around our hometown of Portland, OR including kayaking along the river.

And another trip to Mexico....this time to Cancun, Mexico.

We celebrated Jacqui's graduation from OHSU's Master's of Health Care Management Program.

And celebrated Jacqui's sister's wedding in Washington.

We escaped the Pacific Northwest winter for a week by taking a Caribbean cruise!

Then celebrated the holidays down in Arizona with family.

Jeff surprised Jacqui with a fun adventure- a private dog sled in Bend, OR!

Another fun trip was down in New Orleans, visiting during Mardi Gras!

That spring, we got engaged! Jeff coordinated with some of Jacqui's best friends to invite her to a girls wine tasting day. On the balcony of a beautiful boutique winery in the Willamette Valley, Jeff surprised Jacqui, popping the question with a white rose and sparkling ring in hand.
