It all started in August 2021 in West St. Paul, Minnesota. Both Luke and Jacqueline had individually decided to do a mission year with an organization called National Evangelization Teams (NET), where they would be put on teams to travel the U.S. and facilitate retreats for middle schoolers and highschoolers. Upon meeting each other, they quickly realized that they were both from North Georgia, and despite knowing a lot of the same people from back home, they had never met! A few days after this, they were put on the same NET team, coincidence? I think not. They became good friends as they served with NET, and remained friends while Jacqueline continued to do a second year with NET and Luke went to college. After Jacqueline's second year, Luke got up the courage to finally ask her on a date. Well, actually, he tricked her into a date by asking her to "hang out" and then proceeding to profess his undying love for her. Jacqueline said okay, and they started dating :) Over the next year, they grew in love, friendship, and devotion to one another and God. They went on many adventures together, road trips, and dates, getting to know each other even better. Over the 3 years that Luke and Jacqueline have known each other, they became each other's best friend and wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. So, Luke proposed.
