The year was 2013. Jacqui had just turned 21 and MJ was working as a bartender at the Padre Hotel in their hometown of Bakersfield, CA. Jacqui spent many weekends convincing her girlfriends to visit the hotel so she could talk to the cute and charismatic guy behind the bar. The connection between the two could only be described as magnetic.

As their friend groups collided, the pair spent more and more time around each other. A few years would pass before they would eventually enter a relationship and fall deeply in love.

Jacqui and MJ spent their first few years together moving from city to city; Austin, Los Angeles, and San Diego to name a few!

Their love only deepened as they explored these new places together. In time, they settled down in San Diego where they now happily live with their beloved rescue dog Tuna.

MJ proposed to the “joy of his life” on September 9th, 2022 at their favorite place to spend time together in the summer, Windansea Beach. The two look forward to exchanging vows privately in July on the island of Maui, and planning their “Happily Ever After Party” to celebrate with friends and family in October.
