It was a warm summer day in the ’90s.Back then, it was still fashionable for elderly people to pray to the saints and go from house to house, asking for blessings. You were with your grandfather and grandmother that day when we first met— but we didn't know that we were destined for each other.Ten years later, we met again. This time, we could say that we were destined to meet again.I was a freshman in college and you were in your 4th year.On my first day as a college student, the list of students per section was not organized so on the second day I was transferred to another section, and then became friends with Marie. She invited me to your campus bible study ministry and I saw you leading Bible study sessions on campus, and I knew right away that this would be the day we met again. Unfortunately, I only attended the campus bible sessions a few times due to the class schedule conflict.A year later, you invited me to church this time—you went to the house with your churchmates.Since then, you've been visiting the campus almost every day; sometimes you'll ask Marie if she has any time freed up during lunch so you can join us for lunch! but then again, our class schedules never matched up with your vacant hour. After I was invited to your church, I always attended already the Sunday service and at that time I got to know more about you. You started attending services with me every Sunday, and through that, I was able to grow a deeper relationship with God. I always appreciated how you would come to my house even when I wasn't there. You never said anything, My family loved having you around, and I could tell that they approved of you. Finally, one day you mustered up the courage to ask my mother for permission to court me. This time, you made sure to let me know how you felt. After my class, you picked me up, it was raining that day and it was almost 6 pm the jeepney we were riding was packed because aside from raining it was also rush hour. I was busy trying to stay upright and not get squashed when you handed me your phone with a typed message asking"PWEDE BA AKONG MANLIGAW?". I laughed at first until you go home without my answer, but then I realized you were serious. The days, weeks, and months passed but it did not stop you from pursuing me. You still consistently go to my house doing the same thing.And when I accept Jesus Christ last February 19, 2016, as my Christ Lord Savior you are the happiest person I know that day. Because of your stubbornness in showing your love and not giving up on me by consistently waiting for me and going to my house.&nbsp;One day I decided to give back already the love you give to me.&nbsp;It was October 25, 2016, and I asked you to come to our house at a specific time. I told myself that if he will be late then you will not the one for me, but in just one minute you arrived. I am glad that you did not give up on me and that your love for me is true. Since then we've been in a relationship for 6 years, every monthsary and anniversary you are always saying to me that you'll gonna marry me someday. Not until April 20, 2022, came. The most surprising day you had given me. It was supposed to be the usual Sunday service but you turned it out to be one of my most unforgettable Sundays. After the service, we were called by the pastor to come forward I don't know what's gonna happened but I still came forward. They give you a microphone and you started your speech your wedding proposal speech to be exact people started cheering for us but as for me, I am still comprehending what is happening not until you kneeled and asked: " Will you marry me?" in front of our friends, family, and God. That day feels so magical and&nbsp;of course, I said "YES!" We've been through a lot of ups and down already and most of the time misunderstandings because we are both busy with our careers and we are currently in long-distance relationships. But because God is our center of love in this relationship he always unites us in prayer, soul, and love.
