What is the weather like in October in Umbria?
Autumn in Umbria is characterized by sunshine and blue skies. Expect a daytime high of 75℉ and a low of 50℉ overnight, with ten hours of sunshine each day.
The climate in Umbria in October is rather fresh, but it is tolerable when dressing warm. You can usually get by with light clothing like t-shirts, jeans, or dresses during the day. However, the evenings can get quite chilly, so it's a good idea to bring along a jacket or a sweater. A light raincoat or an umbrella is also recommended.
Is your wedding really 4 days long?
Yes! If we can manage to get you all the way to Italy, we figured we might as well make it a party weekend!
The beautiful Borgo di Bastia Creti and Villa Ada are exclusively ours for the weekend! This means everyone will be staying near each other from Thursday night to Monday morning. Please see the Home tab for all the fun we have planned.
How do we get there?
While the areas of Umbria and Tuscany are absolutely beautiful, they do come with all the aspects of a remote retreat. The destination is easily accessible by train or by car, but to make travel even easier, we will be organizing a luxury shuttle to transport everyone to Borgo di Bastia Creti and Villa Ada from Rome the afternoon of Thursday, October 3. For this reason, we recommend flying into Rome a day early to explore the lovely city and to ensure you are on-time to take the shuttle. If you would like to fly in the day of, we recommend arriving in the morning, so you have time to grab some breakfast before the shuttle leaves!
If you would prefer to rent a car (recommended if you'd like to see the surrounding areas in Tuscany) or take the train, we would be happy to provide recommendations for the best train route or car rental services.
Are you feeding us?
Of course! We understand your hanger pangs. The fabulous in-house chefs will be whipping up all our delicious meals along with a daily breakfast, in addition to the more formal rehearsal and wedding dinners. The on-site restaurant will also have food and snacks all day.
What should I bring?
We're so thrilled you're making the trip to Italy to share in our joy. Celebrating with you after we say "I do" is all we could ask for, so, in lieu of gifts, please bring your hugging arms and dancing shoes.
How do we book our accommodations?
You will not have to worry about organizing anything during the entire wedding weekend, as we have reserved two estates for all of us to have an amazing time in Umbria!
Since Borgo di Bastia Creti and Villa Ada will be our homes away from home for the weekend, there will be some costs associated with accommodations. The lodgings range from private en suite rooms to a couple twin bedrooms, all with luxury amenities. As such, there will be an all-inclusive cost of $500 per adult to reserve your room. This amount will cover your lodging, while we cover all food, drinks, and select activities from Thursday evening to Monday morning.
What if we can't make it?
Although we would love you to attend our wedding weekend in Umbria, we understand any circumstance where you can't be there. As a result, we will be hosting a post-wedding reception back home for anyone who can't make it across the ocean! More details to follow.
