Eighteen years ago Ervin walked in Denny’s (Jacqueline’s job) dressed in a white suit with red accents, a nice clean haircut, and black dress shoes. From the very beginning he was funny, he entered the diner removing his Fedora smiling from ear to ear, asking “if we were still open”. No time had passed, and he asked who was seating him and I, Jacqueline said “the seats are over there”. He made is way to the table waiting for some to take his order. In the meantime, another waitress and I, Jacqueline was debating who was going to wait on him. After his late-night dinner, an exchange of phone numbers, and about 30 minutes of sporadic conversation, the rest was history. Ervin and I, Jacqueline have faced situations and lessons that were good and bad but in spite of the trails and lessons learned through trial and error, there was nothing that could break our bond. Finally, a decision was made to meet at the altar where the matrimony will traditionally and rightfully recognize the union between us, Ervin L. Bryant and Jacqueline J. Thomas.
