We were a match at the first swipe! Well technically, I liked his dating profile and he liked my dating profile and THEN we matched!&nbsp; We met on the famous Hinge dating app! Totally not like us, but between work and gym life, who has time to meet on aisle&nbsp;5 of your local grocery store anymore!&nbsp;We hit it off on the app and decided&nbsp;to meet at Lake Atalanta to make sure neither of us were catfishing each other.&nbsp;He brought his yellow lab Gary, and I brought my brother's labrador retriever, Kingsley, who I was dog sitting at the time (I would have brought Shaggy, but I needed to check Jacob out first).&nbsp;We walked all around Lake Atalanta, or should I say pulled around Lake Atalanta by our labradors and had a great time getting&nbsp;to know one another.&nbsp;The Lake Atalanta meet up led to our first date at Theo's Restaurant a week later, which was then followed up with a Sunday Night AFC showdown between my Kansas City Chiefs and the Bengals.&nbsp;This was the true test to see if Jacob could hang, if you know me then you know how crazy I am about my Chiefs and how not so crazy I am about the&nbsp;Bengals.&nbsp;Luckily, I did not scare him off with my screaming at the TV and he came back for more! He asked&nbsp;me to be his girlfriend the day before Super Bowl LVII in 2023 which marks my favorite Super Bowl EVER because the Chiefs not only defeated the Eagles, but I also became someone's person.&nbsp;We did life together after that, Jacob, me, Gary, and Shaggy!&nbsp; Then, June 22, 2024, he took me and the dogs back to Lake Atalanta where we first met and dropped to one knee while I was holding a bag of Shaggy's poop in my hand.&nbsp;After I realized what was happening, I quickly tossed the poop bag at my&nbsp;Sister who was recording, and looked right at Jacob and said the easiest word I could ever say to his question, YES!&nbsp;&nbsp;

Selected as a park site in the 1930s, Lee Creek Valley provided materials for the Civilian Conservation Corps to build the park's rustic-style wood and stone cabins and other structures, which today offer modern conveniences. A mountain stream forms a peaceful 8-acre lake before cascading over a native stone dam. Hiking and backpacking trails access backcountry areas of the park and caves, crevices and bluff overlooks awaiting exploration.
