Our love story began in Austin, Texas, back in fall of 2014. Jackie was a freshman in the TIP Program at the University of Texas, where Herbert was a junior chemistry course assistant. Through some helpful and entertaining chemistry study sessions, Jackie and Herbert grew to become close friends. After about a year into their friendship and discovering a mutual love for dogs, The Office, and running, Herbert and Jackie made their relationship official!

Four years of laughter, ice cream, concerts, and dog videos later, we are happier than ever. Jackie and Herbert went on a road trip through Colorado to celebrate Jackie’s graduation from college, but Herbert had an ulterior motive. He brought a Bluetooth enabled tripod and GoPro camera to use to take pictures throughout their trip, so that he could document all of the fun moments to put into a short video. Little did Jackie know that Herbert’s hidden plan was really to document the moment he wanted to pop the question. He finally asked Jackie to be his wife during a scenic hike at Maroon Bells, and she eagerly said yes.

This engagement has been filled with lots of love and support from friends and family, and we are so incredibly thankful. After months of planning a wedding, we can’t wait for this new chapter to begin!
