Glen Alps is a very special place to us. We spend many weekends walking dogs in snow, rain, and sun all throughout these mountains. We were engaged at the first river crossing bridge in January. There is no better place to have our wedding ceremony than this area. We do plan to take photos in the mountains which will require hiking in wedding attire. We will bring different shoes and jackets to get around. Wedding guests are welcome to join us, go for your own hike, or meet later at the reception. If you choose to hike, please share photos of hiking in wedding attire! There are many trails: O'Malley (2.5 hours, flat and vertical), The Wedge (3 hours, flat and vertical), Second Bridge (1 hour, flat), Flat Top (1.5 hours, vertical), Peak 1/2 (2.5 hours, vertical).

What to wear?This is a casual wedding, so wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable. There will be summer dresses and slacks, but no black ties. Weather at Glen Alps may be unpredictable, so be sure to bring a jacket.

GiftsWe are not expecting gifts, please bring yourselves. If you would like to bring a bouquet of flowers or pick some from your garden, it will add to the ambiance.

Anchorage has amazing trail systems. We have a few bikes to take out, there are also rentals from downtown. Biking along Westchester Lagoon, Chester Creek, Ship Creek, and Kincaid are great activities in the sun.
