In early 2020, while working as new staff for different Members of Congress, we met in the most romantic way possible: networking.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we each traveled back to our home states but still talked to each other every day.

Once back in D.C., and after a number of dates at Capitol Hill's best watering holes, we knew the connection we shared was meaningful.

Just shy of our second anniversary, we got engaged at Tidal Basin, near Jefferson Memorial, which is where we shared one of our very first dates.

We know that this is just the beginning of our story. Every year together feels like the most fun yet, so we can't wait to see what is in store for our future together.
