Indiana Dunes National Park
While it will be October, it's always worth visiting the Indiana Dunes for newcomers! It's quite beautiful.

Coffee Creek Preserve

Coffee Creek is a huge nature preserve with over 5 miles of hiking trails! There are beautiful bridges connecting the trails. A really nice place to sit and relax for a few hours.
