On Time God

Our love story is a testament to God’s perfect timing. It began on May 22, 2022, when what felt like an ordinary day became the start of something extraordinary. From our very first conversation, there was an undeniable sense of purpose, a feeling that God was at work. By our third date, we found ourselves on the shores of Catalina, where the ocean breeze carried our first kiss—one that felt like a promise.

What truly bonded us wasn’t just laughter, adventure, or late-night conversations, but our shared devotion to Christ. From the very beginning, we sought to build a relationship centered on faith, praying together, worshiping together, and trusting God’s hand in our journey. While dating in Los Angeles was an adventure, it was our foundation in Christ that made our connection unshakable.

Then came a season of waiting. A few months in, John-Erik made the difficult decision to leave his job of ten years and start anew in Nashville, while Jade remained in Los Angeles. The distance was more than miles—it was a test of faith. For 20 months, we prayed, surrendering our love to God’s will, trusting that His plan—whether it led us back to each other or in different directions—would always be greater than our own.

Then, on April 9, 2024, God moved. John-Erik reached out, sharing that he had returned west. Just days later, we reunited at the very place where our love story first began, and it was as if no time had passed. From that moment on, we stepped forward with renewed faith, traveling between California and Arizona, growing deeper in love, and continuing to seek God’s wisdom through devotionals, church, and prayer.

On December 15, 2024, at Oasis Church in Los Angeles—our sacred place of worship and dreams—John-Erik got down on one knee and asked Jade to be his wife. It was the moment she had prayed for, the promise fulfilled in God’s perfect time.

On June 1, 2025, we will stand before God, family, and friends to say "I do." Our love is not just a story of romance, but a testimony of faith, patience, and the beautiful way God weaves His plans in perfect harmony.
