Our Wedding

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.... On April 5th, 2013 the Force brought two young travelers together at the Marquee. They collided at the entrance and their lives were never the same. On May 4, 2013 they began dating. They were engaged on April 27, 2021 on the planet Batuu in front of the Millennium Falcon. Their Star Wars story continues on May the Fourth 2024. Join them in this Star Wars Celebration as Jade and PJ are joined together as one. May the fourth be with you.

What does "Star Wars Immersive" mean?- Unlike a "theme" wedding with theme-inspired decore, our wedding will be considered taking place in a galaxy far, far away! Wedding party, guests, and vendors are encouraged to dress and play a character in the Star Wars universe! Imagine a time in the future of the Star Wars universe where the Jedi and the Sith are no longer at war. Bring your imagination and your personal Star Wars character! What is "Star Wars"?- Star Wars is an epic space opera multimedia franchise created by George Lucas, which began with the eponymous 1977 film, and quickly has been expanded into various film and other media include televisions series, video games, novels, comic books, theme park attractions, and themed areas, comprising an all encompassing fictional universe. Star Wars is one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time. We are planning to give a monetary gift. Who do we make the check payable to?- Ngoc Cao or Prianjoni Villaflor What airport should we fly to?- Des Moines International Airport DSM What are we supposed to wear?- While we highly encourage everyone to wear a Star Wars inspired costume or outfit, it is okay to come in casual attire. Feel free to bring a lightsaber if you can! See "costume suggestions" page for ideas! I have a Star Wars costume but it's white. Would I be allowed to wear it?- You are welcome to wear a white costume. That includes a white or cream outfit like the characters Padme Amidala, Princess Leia, or Storm Troopers and Clone Troopers. Can we post a photo of the invite online?- You are more than welcome to post a photo of the invite online! But if you do, please just cover or censor the location and the small names below it. Everything else is good to post! I'm a content creator. Can take photos or videos during the wedding?- Of course! You are more than welcome to take content during the wedding and post it! All we ask is to be mindful of the professional photographer and videographer on site. How are ride-shares like Uber and Lyft in the area?- We recommend folks flying in to rent a vehicle or arrange to carpool. While ride-shares are available by the hotel, they are not easily available at the venue. See "travel" page for rental information. What's there to do in Iowa?There is plenty to do!
