High school sweethearts to happily ever after! Jade and Sam met back in their grade 9 cooking class. Jade was the energetic girl, showing off at the teachers cooking station. While Sam would be the laid-back guy, wearing a hoodie over his basketball outfit. They caught each other's eye but it took a couple months for them to build up the courage to chat outside of class. Over winter break Jade shot her shot and messaged Sam over FaceBook and of course he responded.

Jade and Sam didn't have a typical first date. On this day, Jade was cooking dinner for her family and she had to pick up the ingredient for it. As nervous as she was she asked Sam to go grocery shopping with her. As they both lived in walking distance from each other and the store he offered to meet her half way and walk to the store together. It may not sound like the most romantic date but it was the start of their love story!

During their high school years they both played sports. Sam was a high level lacrosse player and Jade loved to go to watch his games. Jade on the other hand was a high level soccer player but was timid to him watching her games. She typically wouldn't tell him where her games were. Although, one game he figured out her game time and location and surprised her! Their competitiveness has continued to this day, you should see them during their Mario Party game nights.

They have gone through high school, high school graduation, make ups, break ups, job changes, college, college graduation, vacations with and without family, moving out and living together. They have gone through all the fun and challenging times everyone goes through in their teen years through their early twenties.

Sam and Jade had a party for his birthday. At one point during the party, the vibe changed and people were smiling and looking at Jade after talking to Sam. Can you guess what he told them? He knew that Jade loves Halloween and everything that comes with the season. So on October 19, 2024 he planned a date at the pumpkin patch. Remember the weekend with the big rainstorm? Yea, it was the same weekend. Sam was a nervous wreck thinking the pumpkin patch was going to be closed and all his plans were going to be ruined. They got to the pumpkin patch and it was closed due to flooding but the market and the rest was open. Due to the weather they pretty much had the entire place to themselves. Maybe 3 minutes into them being there Sam challenged Jade to pick up a large pumpkin and of course Jade took the bait. She tried to lift it but said she needs better leverage so he needs to hold her umbrella. When she turned around he was down on one knee and asked her to marry him! She was so excited that it was finally happening and of course said yes! Sam planned for our families to meet us there right after the proposal. The proposal and moments with the families were all captured by a photographer.

All of this has led up to their wedding day on March 14 2026!
