In June of 2020 my best friend Allie planned a little trip up to the UP to go adventure around the Porcupine Mountains. I was almost not able to go because my work finally opened back up after the pandemic. This new girl at my work who turned out later to be one of my best friends picked up my shifts I needed off for the trip (thanks bre). While we were just hanging out at the Airbnb this guy walks in points at me and says “I know you” I say in return “no you don’t” turns out I did know him from the prior year at Faster Horses (I eventually found a video of him and Allie so I had proof he was right sadly). Sean was practically wrapped around my finger that entire trip. After the trip he was very persistent on us hanging out but I kept finding excuses until he roped in Allie and Mason who we double dated with for about a month then eventually I said ok to hanging out without them. Sean took me to Wamplers Lake which is basically where we started our relationship. Fast toward to July 2022 we had our 2 year anniversary which is when I told Sean we could start talking engagement, weddings, and marriage. He proceeded to tell everyone he wanted to propose by the end of the year, he succeeded but waited until the last day. Sean was very very adamant about going on a trip for New Years so we planned a trip to Holland, Mi for a night. We found out real fast we aren’t bed and breakfast people and that we aren’t great planners. Sean kept telling me how we need to go to the beach by a lighthouse during the sunset to take cute pictures mind you it’s December parks are closed off and we don’t know the area. I booked us dinner reservations and we drove to an area to go to the beach before hand the place was closed so we went to dinner where we found out I booked reservations for the wrong place. We ate dinner where we intended to thankfully then ended up downtown Holland to find a place to take the cute picture Sean so desperately needed to take. We walked around for a little after getting drinks. I eventually figured out what was going on because he decided to open and close the ring box. So I found a cute little park to take the cute pictures and get engaged at. Sean figured that part out a couple weeks later that I picked the place we got engaged. And now here we are getting ready to get married and spend the rest of our lives annoying each other

Here’s how it really happened. So I met jade on a friends vacation that I absolutely didn’t want to go on. But then my buddy wes told me about this super hot… fishing spot for trout. So I got my pole and headed north! I walk in to the Airbnb and immediately knew… that this chick is trouble. She proceeded to follow me like a cute little puppy dog. All jokes aside I pursued her hard because I knew pretty quickly, that this chick would film my duck hunts… almost 3 years later I filmed her deer hunt. It’s a redneck love story, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
