Our Wedding

Our journey together began in our senior year of high school in 2018. We met and quickly realized we had something special. Our first date was in April 2018, where we picked up pizza and drove out to have a picnic off PCH, watching the sunset and listening to music by the ocean. It was the perfect start to our adventure. Life took us on different paths when we went to college, but our connection remained strong. We reunited in June 2020 and navigated the challenges of long distance for a couple of years while finishing college. Despite the miles between us, we went on many adventures and created countless memories. Now that we're geographically together, we've enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to sporting events and concerts, and continuing to create new memories. Our love story took a beautiful turn when we got engaged on Silver Strand Beach in San Diego on February 23, 2025, after a lovely day with friends at Belmont Park. We are most looking forward to continuing to make memories together and celebrating our love with all of our family and friends in March.

Airport Recommendations

We recommend flying in and out of LAX, since it will have the most options for flights. You will need to rent a car and drive about an hour to an hour and a half to get to Calabasas or Newbury Park (could be longer depending on traffic).

LAX Airport (LAX)

If you are able to get a flight into/out of Burbank instead of LAX, it tends to be less busy and is slightly closer. You will likely need to rent a car and drive 30-60 mins depending on whether you stay in Calabasas or Newbury Park/what time you land.

We love going to see the boys in blue play at Dodger Stadium and would recommend making it out to a game - they'll be playing in the early afternoon on March 26th and in the evening on March 27th. Thursday March 26th will be the first game of the Dodgers' 2026 season at home against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Tickets will likely be expensive and it's quite crowded getting into the stadium - so plan accordingly if you choose to attend!

The Getty was one of our first dates in high school. The art and the views are worth seeing while you're in town! You could even take a quick trip down the 405 to UCLA to see where Kylee is attending grad school if you're in the area.

While Boney Mountain (pictured) might be a bit of an ambitious hike for a quick trip out (about a 10-mile out-and-back trail with lots of scrambling), we highly recommend checking out the beautiful trails and views to be seen in our area. For an easier hike with views of Camarillo, check out the Twin Ponds hike. For a workout, try the Powerline Trail which comes with beautiful views of both Camarillo and Newbury Park. Just be on the look out for critters and stay on the established trails if you trek!

Take a Hike!

There are many cool things to do within driving distance of our home (depending on the time and your patience). Los Angeles has a lot of touristy things to do like seeing the Hollywood sign, visiting Griffith Observatory, taking a walk down Rodeo Drive, etc. Also a bit of a drive, Santa Barbara is a cool city with unique shops, restaurants, and experiences without as much of the LA traffic. Reach out if you want any recommendations!
