December 15th, 2018, Jaeden and Brendan officially started dating! They first met in 2016, working as lifeguards, and in 2018 they became close friends. After months of planning group events as an excuse to hang out with Jaeden, Brendan finally asked her out on a date, just days before they went on winter break.

In March 2020, Covid-19 closed the world down for a while! Brendan and Jaeden took advantage of some time off work to focus on school. Two weeks of quarantine just to see each other are times that won't be missed.

In January of 2022, Brendan moved to Fort St. John, BC for his first Engineering co-op and Jaeden started working full time as a Nurse in Victoria. They spent the next 8 months trying long distance and decided it definitely was not for them!

As things gradually started returning to normal, Jaeden and Brendan found their love for adventuring together. Brendan was still working in Fort St. John, but they made the most of their limited time together, even meeting up in Edmonton during Brendan's 4 days off. Pictured is their first big road trip together down the California Coast in May of 2022!

After 8 grueling months of long distance, Brendan moved back to Victoria and he and Jaeden settled into their first apartment together. They enjoyed Island living, Westcoast style, by backpacking, hiking, and adventuring outdoors with family and friends!

The next couple of years were filled growth and experiences. Brendan finally finished school and began working life. Jaeden and Brendan continued to explore Vancouver Island together and spent their free time doing things they love! A few memorable moments include their trip to Hawaii, backpacking in Strathcona park, mountain biking with their friends in Cumberland, visiting family and friends in Ontario, and going to their first concert together in Mexico.

After 5 and a half years together, Brendan popped the question on a beautiful beach in Tofino, BC! Of course, Jaeden said yes and now they both can't wait to say I Do! We are so excited to share the next part of our story with you all on July 26th, 2026.
