Our Story

Michael and Jaimie met back in 2003. They were in 8th grade at Cascade Middle School in Mrs. Granberg's class. Michael always says when he saw Jaimie in that class, he told himself that one day he was going to marry her. (Though she didn't realize it was going to take him so long!) ;) They used to get in trouble in that class for always talking and laughing and not paying attention to the teacher. They became good friends but didn't start dating until September 6, 2005 during their Sophomore year of High School. Jaimie will always remember the day Michael asked her to be his girlfriend. Her birthday is September 3rd and on the first day of school, he came up to her locker with a beautiful bouquet of flowers with two glass unicorn figurines sitting on top of it and a heart shaped diamond necklace with LOVE written threw it. She loved them! She still has the necklace and one of the unicorns to this day! (One of the unicorns broke in one of their many moves). Throughout high school, they went to every Homecoming and Tolo dance and their Senior Prom together.

They rented 3 different places before buying their first home in Sedro Woolley back in October 2013. Their first child, Hunter, was born in October 2012 and their second child, Natalyn, was born in June 2014. They will be 10 and 12 this year and are so happy mom and dad are finally getting married! They would tease Michael all the time for not asking Jaimie to marry him yet. Hunter will be Michael's Junior Groomsman and Natalyn will be Jaimie's Junior Bridesmaid.

Jaimie would always bug Michael about getting married and would ask him all of the time when he was going to be ready. He always teased her saying he wasn't going to get married until he was 30. After about a decade of waiting, Jaimie finally gave up and quit asking. Michael turned 30 and still hadn't popped the question. Finally, on May 29, 2022, Michael worked up the courage to ask Jaimie to marry him. It was beautiful! Michael planned out a great Memorial Day Weekend, camping down at the beach in Long Beach. He invited all of their closest friends and family to be apart of this special day!

Michael and Jaimie are so happy and excited to share another special day with all of their closest friends and family and can't wait to see everyone on August 24, 2024!
