It all started when we were set up by close friends in college, and now, eight and a half years later, we’ll become husband and wife on October 2, 2026, in Kansas City, MO. Our relationship has grown through many chapters — graduating college together, navigating long distance while Jake was in pharmacy school and Skylar began her first full-time job in Kansas City, then stretching even farther between New York City and Omaha. We made countless memories visiting one another and exploring new places: hosting Jake’s family in NYC for the Big East Tournament, biking through Central Park, attending and standing in friends’ weddings, and trips to California, Florida, and Aruba. We cherish simple rituals too - Blackstone breakfast mornings, Omaha zoo visits and exploring new spots around Kansas City. In 2025, we finally got to be in the same city again after four years of long distance, and we got engaged on a beautiful fall day at the Arboretum in the fall. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over these eight and a half years; our family, friends, and loved ones mean the world, and we can’t wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people. There wouldn't be us without you...
