Jake's best friend from elementary school. Taught Jake the importance of hygiene, that there is more to lunch than just mortadella sandwiches and the different tasting notes of scotch & wine.

Liz's ride-or-die bestie. No matter rain or shine, good or bad times Jess has been there for Liz through anything and everything. Liz loves her like a second sister. From kids to adults, their friendship has seen so many eras.

Jake's younger brother. Jake knows he can count on Ben for a solid defence on the ice as well as video game and food recommendations, and the best homemade chocolate chip cookies. Although at times they're opposites, Jake couldn't take this next step in life without his brother by his side.

Liz's sister. With a 5-year gap between them, they didn't always see eye-to-eye when growing up but then Liz got older and on her 19th birthday they became built-in besties. Amanda is one of Liz's most important people, she seeks advice, gets support, and is always there for her through thick and thin!

Jake's God Brother. Marc & Jake grew up together as if they were siblings. From daycare at Marc's parent's home, monthly game nights, trips to Wasaga Beach and a Villa in Tuscany, Marc & Jake bonded over being the eldest sibling. Now that they're A-dults, and Marc's becoming the next top chef, they still hang out on their own and most recently he helped assemble Jake's PC.

Met Liz just before high school in summer school, they took 4 years of choir together and he was even brave enough to attempt to tutor Liz in music theory, although she still doesn't understand it to this day. Fun fact in grade 12 Liz handed in her music theory exam to their favourite teacher Mr. Kolenko and said I'm sorry...she somehow passed.

To this day, there's an ongoing dispute about when Crystal and Jake actually met for the first time because it wasn't in Astronomy 101. But once they met, they quickly became close friends. So close in fact that Crystal spent a whole day with Jake to take photos for his Bumble profile, including the money shot with Jake & his dog Hunter that first won Liz's swipe.

Where to start! Liz's first friend from high school, drinking buddy always (whether it's at all-inclusive resorts or a party), Kings Cup mate, and OG wife. But we don't just drink together our friendship is fueled by coffee, on the whim tattoo adventures, and surviving many Taste of the Kingsway weekends while working at Starbucks together.

Natalie was the first friend Jake made in university. It all started with Jake joining a random line during Frosh Week and awkwardly asking Natalie what the line was for. 2+ hours later at the end of the line, Natalie & Jake emerged victoriously with MiWay U-Passes and a new friendship on their way to Astronomy 101.

Liz and Sabrina's friendship is a slow but special burn. They met in the same summer school course that Liz met Michael in but their friendship started during their grade 10 English class. They started grabbing lunch together and slowly formed their little group, then they made it through the stress that is the Timmies drive-thru timer (if you know, you know), and survived the first year of Social Work.

Met Jake in Astronomy 101 and bonded over the fact that it was not the bird course they thought it would be. Fun fact: Jake learned after years of being friends that he's not actually the same age as him and their other university friends after randomly getting ID'd at a bar - their group still laughs about it to this day.

Friends since grade 8, they've survived their awkward pre-teen years together and made it through high school and beyond. Mihko is someone Liz knows she can count on to be by her side from loud game nights to country line dancing bars, food adventures and everything in between and now in this next adventure.

Yet another close friend made in Astronomy 101. Besides learning about the age of stars and galaxies, he taught me about the different ages of cognac. Unfortunately, Tejbir is out of the country for the wedding but that won't stop him from sending us his hype man energy!
