A simple online connection that would change both of our lives forever. We were just two 19 year olds, not knowing that we were about to meet the person we would chase this crazy, beautiful thing called life with. Now, at 21, we stand hand in hand, grateful for every moment that led us here.

Our first date was the very next day. What started as Dutch Bros and a trip to Moapa for the corn maze turned into hours of effortless conversation, laughter, and the feeling that something about this was different. From the very beginning, it just felt right.

By our third date on November 4, 2024, we had dinner at Texas Roadhouse and went bowling. We both knew this was becoming something special. Somewhere between rolls and Shirley Temples, Jacob asked Mackenzie to be his plus one at his sister’s wedding. Without hesitation, she said “absolutely.” Just three days later, Mackenzie met Jacob’s entire family and somehow, it all felt natural, like she had always belonged.

Before a cozy “Wicked” movie date night, Jacob made things official. And just like that, we weren’t just two people dating, we were building something intentional.

Our first road trip came quickly after, November 29 through December 1, 2024. A double date with Belle and Dylan to Six Flags and Knott’s Berry Farm. It was full of adrenaline, laughter, late-night talks, and the kind of memories you replay in your head long after they’re over. From the very beginning, everything about us has been filled with “firsts.”

Jacob began attending church with Mackenzie. What started as a simple invitation became one of the most meaningful parts of our relationship. With Christ at the center, our love grew deeper, stronger, and more intentional. We didn’t just talk about where we were, we talked about where we were going. The future didn’t feel scary; it felt exciting because we knew we were walking toward it together.

By the beginning of March 2025, we were looking at rings. On July 20, 2025 Jacob popped the big question at Lake Pleasant with a beautiful orange sunset. Some might say we moved fast. But when you know, you know. From the very start, our relationship felt guided, steady, and full of purpose.

So much has changed since Dutch Bros and that corn maze. We’ve grown up together, learned together, prayed together, and dreamed together. And as we step into this next chapter, we do so with full hearts, deep gratitude, and unshakable faith in what God has planned for us. We can’t wait to see what He has in store. Forever starts here. 🤍
