Our Story

How we met

Picture of How we met

It all started back in kindergarten when we started going to school together. By the time we started 5th grade, we were best friends and hung out with the same group of people. Obviously, the only rational thing to do when you're in middleschool is to "date" your guy best friend. We "dated" off and on throughout middleschool and remained really good friends until the beginning of our sophomore year of highschool. From both of our friends we would constantly hear that it was very "obvious" we liked each other more than friends. We decided to give it a go... our friends were obviously right. I think we'd both agree dating your best friend is the best feeling in the world. We started dating when we were 15 years old. We got our license together, went to three homecomings and 2 proms together and always tried to make each other's sporting events. We always find a way to laugh and have fun no matter what we are doing. The last couple years have included us buying a house and getting two mini goldendoodles named Willow and Bella. After 7 years of dating Jake decided it was the perfect time to propose. There's so much more we have to look forward to in the future. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Proposal Story

We went and looked at rings a year before I proposed. I had a pretty good idea of what ring styles she liked. I customized it and picked it up after school on 2/13/2023. On my way home I called Shane and asked for his permission to ask Jadyn to marry me, which he said yes, obviously. I decided to take Jadyn to my parents' farm where one of my cows had her first Hereford heifer calf. I wanted to show Jadyn the calf and then when she turned her back to me, I got down on one knee and asked those ever so famous four words. Will you marry me? Which she said yes, thank God. I wouldn't trade this life Jadyn and I have created for anything. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us in this crazy ass world we live in. Cheers to the Langmeier's!
