Growing up with a big sister is tough. One second I hated her, the next second I wanted to be her. When we were little our relationship evolved from Sara yelling at me to stop chewing on her Barbie's hands and feet; to yelling at me for stealing her clothes into our teenage years. These days the yelling has turned into laughter, and even though we live 2,000 miles apart there is no one I'm closer with. Sara is always willing to talk me out of (likely) a really bad idea, and listen to me vent when I don't take her advice and do it anyway. She's also always there when things are going well to cheer me on and tell me how proud she is of me. Sara knows me better than anyone, and was SO excited when Jake called her and told her he was going to propose - (that was probably the biggest "cheering me on" moment ever).

Stevie weve! Of course my little brother is my best man! Growing up with Steven as a little brother certainly made it easy to be a proud big brother. From moving away to the mid-west to pursue his dreams of a hockey career, to graduating from the University of Michigan, it was always a pleasure of mine to run into a UMich fan and brag about my brother. Living apart from each other growing up was difficult for us. I don't know if I even realized it at the time, but now that were back to living in the same place, were able to spend so much of the time together that we missed out on when we were younger kids and I am extremely grateful for that. My business partner, forever golf buddy and one of my best friends, I love you Weve!

Lauren has lived with us for the last 4 years, so she's seen it all and loves us anyway. Lauren met Jake back in college at UNF and spontaneously decided to move out to Utah for a season, then ended up coming back and has been in and out of the house ever since and we wouldn't have it any other way! Lauren goes above and beyond to make the people in her life feel special and loved without even trying. Even though we started out with Lauren on the grooms side, I quickly snatched up not only a bridesmaid, but more importantly, a best friend.

My main man Ry guy. Ryan and I have been best friends since we were 9 years old when we met playing roller hockey on the riverside rinks in Coral Springs. I can remember practically growing up at Ryan's house in middle and high school, feeling just as at home in the Sehr household as I did my own. His parents, Scott and Carrie, will forever and always be second parents to me and I love Jesse and Madison (Ryan's Siblings) like family. Now, over 20 years later, Ryan and I still make just as much of an effort in our friendship as we did when we were 15. Friendships like these don't come around too often and we don't take it for granted. Love you Ry.

If you don't already know Kari, you'd better run to introduce yourself to her. From always being down for a spontaneous adventure, to making sure everyone is fed and hydrated, Kari is the glue that holds all the good things in life together. Hands down, she is the most well-intentioned, prepared and responsible, fun and free and just all around lovely person I've ever met. Kari goes out of her way to make sure others feel loved, welcome and celebrated and truthfully, we as average humans don't deserve her; but I'm SO glad we have her. I'm so lucky to have Kari as a part of my life and I can't wait to celebrate together!

What can I say about Matty Hasty. Matt moved down to Florida when he was 14 and we met as mutual friends of the Mabies. The first time we met he called me a poser because I was wearing a t-shirt with a guitar on it and I didn't know how to play. A rocky start to be sure, but our mutual love of hockey and guitar hero turned us into fast friends. Matt, Ryan and I were inseparable in high school and college. Even though none of us went to the same University, we made a serious effort to all get together as often as we could. Matt moved in with us during Covid to finish out law school somewhere where he wasn't stuck in an apartment alone all day, and three years later he has a career, a wonderful partner, and a life here in Utah that he can be proud of. Matty is and will always be one of my best friends, love you bubba.

Mia is the person you want by your side when you need an honest opinion. She's never afraid to tell you like it really is, whether it's the news you want to hear or not. She's a reliable force to be reckoned with and is always right next to you, ready to do the thing; whatever it is. I'm so excited to have Mia by my side to help me keep me sane on my big day!

Ah Bretty, it could have been us getting married if not for those pesky ladies of ours. Brett and I met in college through UNF hockey. We clicked quickly as two south florida jews playing hockey on the Florida/Georgia border. We moved in together when we were 19 and lived together for over 10 years. Brett and I have a friendship that doesn't take any work at all. He knows me better than anyone else and has the ability to cheer me up, change the subject, or come to my defense without me having to say a word. It's thanks to Brett that I ended up in Utah at all, because there's no way I would have had the confidence to move out here without him. Brett did eventually have to move out of my house (because apparently that's what adults do) but it shouldn't be an issue since he got his own home only 10 minutes away. That should be fine... crisis averted... love you brotha.

Sam is one of the first friends I made when I moved out to Utah. We connected on our mutual love of the outdoors, glitter and shenanigans and 5 years later we're still at it. We have watched each other grow A LOT over the last few years. Sam has seen me struggle at my worst and seen me thrive at my best. There is no other La Croix lovin', barefoot bluegrass stompin' badass I'd rather have getting me hyped for the best day of my life!

J mabes, or the other Jake M as our elementary school teacher would have called him. Jake and I have known each other since elementary school, but didn't really get to know each other until we became friends playing roller hockey in Florida. Teammates on the Coral Springs Cobras, my family and the Mabies became very close growing up. Although we didn't hang out a ton in high School, each of us going to different schools and hanging with different groups, we became very close again in college. Jake is my go to man for any and all Miami Heat info, one of the best shit talkers in our fantasy football league, and one of my best friends. I feel very lucky to have such a long-lasting friendship in my life and truly don't know where I'd be without it. Love you Jakey.

I've known Shanyne for around 3 years and throughout that time, she has continuously pushed me to be a better version of myself. Shanyne was there after my injury, and literally every step thereafter. She always pushed me to do thing: Get back on the bike, try that climb. Through our adventures we developed an incredible friendship that I'm grateful for every day. I hate that she moved away but I'm glad to have another place to add to my annual trip list.

Eric and I of course go way back. He and my brother were close friends growing up, and the two of them were the pesky little brothers that we had to beat up on and teach a lesson or two when we played mini hockey in the living room. As we got older, the three year age gap seemed smaller and smaller, and now Eric is one of my best friends. Eric is the guy in our group to get shit done. Need a last minute tee time at a course we have no business playing? A day-of dinner reservation for 16 at 7pm? E is your guy. He has an uncanny ability to make people around him feel comfortable with his quick wit and incredible sense of humor. Thank you for being a part of my wedding Eric love you bud!

Three years ago, when Kaylee met Jake I'm pretty sure the first thing she said to him was "If you don't call me and get my permission to ask Abby to marry you I'm not going to the wedding." She was serious, and thankfully Jake called her and made sure he had the green light before he popped the question. Anyone who knows us well knows that we bicker like old ladies when we're together because somehow *I'm* the dramatic one. In the 10 years that we've been friends, Kaylee has gone out of her way to make sure I know that even though I've moved away, my favorite Mass-hole is never farther than a phone call away.

Weezy M Baby... don't forget the baby. Matt is another OG member of the Coral Springs Cobras roller hockey team. I met Matt when we were around 10 and were buddies for most of middle school. But, with all of us playing hockey and weez making a switch to football, we didn't hang out much through high school. Much to my surprise though, I got a text from Matt going into my freshman year of college asking if I wanted to live with him. I was absolutely thrilled as I was terrified of the prospect of having to move into the dorms with a stranger. What started as an arrangement that helped me avoid my social anxieties turned into one of the best friendships I've ever had. I mean hey, we went through freshman year of college living together so Weez has seen some shit. The best goalie in UNF hockey history and one of my best friends, I am really glad you decided to shoot me that text brotha. Love ya weez.
