Jake and Abby met while both going to college at the University of Wisconsin Madison. Though they became friends at that time, they became best friends when they both moved to Denver Colorado in 2019 and 2020. Then, their friendship became something more. In March of 2021, Abby got up the courage to ask Jake out, to which he of course said yes. They dated for a year and a half before Jake moved up to Fort Collins and they began living together in 2022. In May of 2024 Jake took Abby bird-watching at their favorite spot, and while Abby was busy looking at birds, he got down on one knee and proposed. Now living together in Fort Collins with their two cats, Duck and Bernie, Abby and Jake can't wait to take the next natural step for their relationship- getting married!
