Our story began in the spring of 2017 when we exchanged messages about all of our favorite things online. Soon after, we met in a Starbucks for the first time for our first date. Even though we had just gotten to know each other, it felt like we'd been great friends our whole lives. We bonded over a mutual love for music, movies, and life.

After a year of long distance relationship struggles, we decided to take the next step and move in together. We decided to move to a cozy apartment in Novi. We soon adopted our beloved cat Frankie during COVID to help adjust with remote work. Our little newfound family has weathered the challenges of life with family losses and more but it has done nothing more than fortify our relationship and the support and respect we have for each other.

In July 2024, Jake (finally) sealed the deal on what was believed to be a routine Sunday morning coffee date at Kensington Metropark in Milford. He proposed with a custom made ring steeped with sentimental value - seated with the diamond from Marisa's mother's wedding ring from her late father. Soon after, the wedding plans unfolded to betroth quickly on what will be a beautiful, intimate Autumn evening ceremony in November with just immediate family. Later, we have multiple events dedicated to celebrating our story with our loved ones.

We have created a small wedding registry, however please do not feel obligated to gift us anything. But should you feel inclined, we are working hard to save for our first home and any contribution toward our New Home Fund would be incredibly appreciated.
